Privacy Policy

babelqueue.com is a static documentation and marketing site for BabelQueue. It has no accounts, no forms and no analytics. This page explains the little personal data that is still processed when you visit it.
The data controller is Muhammet Şafak (Tignex), reachable at [email protected].
Data we collect
The site itself collects nothing. It sets no cookies, uses no localStorage, loads no analytics,
advertising or third-party scripts, and asks you for no personal information.
Like any web host, the hosting provider receives standard request data when your browser fetches
a page: your IP address, user agent, the requested URL and the time of the request. The host also
sends a network error logging header (NEL / report-to), which lets your browser report network
failures when it loads the site; those reports go to Cloudflare (a.nel.cloudflare.com).
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.
Why we process it
- Serving the site. Request data is needed to deliver pages to you and to keep the site secure and available. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a working, secure website.
- Replying to you. If you write to us, we use your message to answer it. The legal basis is responding to the request you made.
Third parties and processors
- Cloudflare Pages hosts the site and processes the request data described above. Its handling of that data is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Cloudflare runs a global network, so request data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States.
- Site search is powered by Pagefind and runs entirely in your browser. Your search queries are never sent to a server.
- Share links to X and LinkedIn are plain links. Nothing is sent to either service unless you click one, and from then on that service’s own policy applies.
- GitHub links lead to an external site, github.com/BabelQueue, with its own privacy policy.
Retention
We do not store visitor data ourselves. Retention of request data held by the hosting provider is set by Cloudflare’s policy. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights and how to exercise them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights regarding emails you have sent us, write to [email protected]. For request data held by Cloudflare, contact Cloudflare as described in its privacy policy.
